The short but cute story of a Sherwood park engagement session and Charlie the dog
A few weeks back I had the privilege of meeting Charlie for the first time during Michelle and JJ’s engagement session in Sherwood Park. The cutest Bernese Mountain Dog ever, he is more than just a pet; he is the dog that brings a smile to everyone’s face! Michelle and Jonathan are his humans and they are also pretty awesome. They are both just easy going and laid back people, it was such a breeze photographing all three of them right in their element!
The Couple
I met Jonathan a few years ago, he was part of a super fun bridal party for a wedding I was photographing, fast forward a year and we crossed paths again during a wedding at The Oasis Centre, where he was also part of the bridal party. That tells you everything, he is that great friend, the one that everyone wants to have close to them when celebrating their best day. He is always smiling, at least when I have seen him 🙂 Michelle and JJ met through mutual friends and the proposal happened while they were on vacation in Palm Springs. They were golfing and on the 18th hole. Michelle was putting her ball in the hole and once she grabbed it and turned around to watch JJ do the same, he was on one knee. They both had tears rolling down their faces and it was a complete whirlwind of emotions!!
Sherwood Park Recreation Area
After spending a bit of time with Michelle, JJ and Charlie I knew that we needed to include Charlie in the photos and what better way to do that than outdoors in the snow where he could run, play fetch and just have a good time! When Michelle suggested Sherwood Park Recreation Area and show me a few photos I was totally in, It was the perfect spot, because of all the different areas of trees with snow covered paths as well as open spaces for Charlie to run.
